MY STORY
My Product Design Journey
In my previous life, I worked as a frontend developer. Despite enjoying the work, I didn't feel creatively inspired. Even more importantly, it lacked true insight into the end users I was impacting.
During my tenure as a developer, my passion for design was apparent to my peers, and I eagerly accepted an opportunity to switch into a UX/UI designer position.
Having a strong background in UI design, I immediately enrolled in a 3-month product design course to fill in the missing puzzle pieces. In addition to broadening my view of UX and the impact it has on deliverable content, I was able to immediately put the skills I learned into practice.
In the present, I consider myself a practitioner and a lifelong learner who is always eager to hear new perspectives, learn new skills, and continuously reinvigorate my passion.

I live in Nashville, TN with my wife of 9 years and my 7-year-old son Dakota.
At least once a year, we like to disconnect and go camping off-grid. On our travels, I always bring my camera and if I'm lucky, I can capture some beautiful photographs.
Several years ago, I started running as a hobby and became obsessed with it. In addition to being a constant challenge, it also humbles me.
When I'm not busy with my family or training for my next marathon, I enjoy reading blogs, listening to podcasts, and studying books. In addition to being a better husband, father, and designer, I strive to be a better version of myself.
